Traditional Chinese therapies, mobile Tui Na massage service, Tai Chi and Qigong classes in South Ayrshire (Prestwick, Ayr, Alloway and Troon).
Tai Chi is an exercise program for health and wellbeing based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). My classes are suitable for all ages and all abilities. It is thought that practicing Tai Chi regularly is useful for building strength, improving balance and mobility. Through the slow gentle movement of the joints and limbs, Tai Chi drives the blood circulation, the respiratory system, the endocrine system and the nervous system of the body to generate more energy and in turn can make the body feel stronger.
With roots in ancient Chinese culture dating back more than 4,000 years Qi Gong (pron. chee-gong) lterally means breathing exercises. It is similar to Tai Chi with an emphasis on body posture, movement, breathing, the mind and meditation. If practiced regulary can be used for the purposes of health and spirit.
Cost : £5 per class

Examples of treatment massage: Shoulders, back, ankles, wrists, hands, elbows, knees, head, legs and arms. These could be injuries from work, exercise, sleeping position or posture. What does your BMI (body mass index) mean?
If your BMI is less than 18.5, your BMI is within the underweight category. This may not be good for your health. If your BMI is between 18.5 and 24.9, your BMI is within the healthy weight category. This is generally good for your health. The challenge is to maintain that weight, and not put on weight as you get older. If your BMI is between 25 and 29.9, your BMI is within the overweight category. This may not be good for your health. If you BMI is 30 or over, you are within the obese category. This may not be good for your health. There are many benefits of moving towards a healthy weight and losing even a small amount of weight can bring health benefits. You may also benefit from more supervised guidance; talk with your health professional about how losing weight can improve your health and wellbeing.
